Why are there poppies around on ANZAC day?

1. During which war did they start remembering fallen soldiers with poppies?

Belgium
3. Was the poet who wrote ‘In Flanders Fields’ a soldier? How do you know?

4. In the poem, it mentions a ‘quarrel’. Find a definition for the word quarrel: 
disagreement, all messy, argument
5. Where in the World is Belgium? Explain where you find it...
A country in western Europe and I found it on a world map  
6. What is an Armistice? 
a truce, stop a war for a certain amount of time or forever become friends not rivals 
7. What is another name for the ‘red poppy’? 
 papaver rhoeas
8. How do you think John McCrae felt when he wrote his poem? 
sad, emotional
9. Find an image that portrays the words of the first verse the best you can.

    Well done on your correct answers. I particularly like the image you chose to reflect the first verse. Next time I would like to see you answer the questions using full sentences. I really like the image you made for question 11. It incorporates many of the known symbols.
